This season it’s all about big and bold accessories. Whether you prefer huge hoops embellished with jewels or a long multi strand necklace icon doubled up with a chunky beaded necklace-shaped, keep in mind that the bigger the better. But don’t mix big necklaces and huge earrings, otherwise you’ll get a ridiculous look.

Gold and silver jewels are still popular this season. Expect to see silver blended with other metals including brass and copper.
Another trend of spring and summer 2009 is metallic necklaces in geometric designs like ovals, circles, squares and rectangles. Bangles and cuffs are the must-have accessories of this year. Massive cuffs feature plain metals, animal prints or are heavily bejeweled.
